I’ve always wanted to try my hand in this cut storyboard scene, but could never find the time…but if I couldn’t do it for DA kiss week then when can ya? I wanted the rain, I wanted the wet hair and the kind of desperate embrace.
Sometimes the rats in my brain come together and start yelling “YEARNING” and in trying to appease them I ask “FOR WHAT” but they are too small so all they can say is “YEARNING” which is a very big word for such a tiny creature, even collectively
Just saw an ‘Everything I love about Veilguard’ post with every character mentioned but Davrin (who was just a footnote) so I’ll make my own.
Everything I love about Davrin
- the way he’s like “I’m just a bodyguard” but he’s full on adopted Assan and given him his last name
- they way his ears crook in slightly that gives them that shape
- his laugh
- the way he doesn’t know what he’s doing while trying to care for Assan but he’s trying his best and his half cat half bird son is along for the ride. (Also he accepts help when offered)
- his humming; to himself, to Assan, in general
- he creates tiny little figurines and also giant wood carvings of creatures
- he’s a monster hunter and takes the job very seriously (not only does he fight them but he understands them)
- when he’s expressive and vulnerable (the scene after Weisshaupt shines here)
- his hunter/prey kink and the way he confidently flirts back at Rook
- his slutty little Monster Leathers armor
- his big brown eyes
- he allows himself to think about the quaint little domestic life he wants with Rook (despite the fact that he’s supposed to 'keep it casual’)
- he looks like the honorable stoic type but he’s totally down with all the chaotic decisions Rook makes (punching the first warden)
- he’s a sword and board warrior
- he shows physical affection (the hand on Rook’s thigh during their first kiss, the back massage during their love scene)
- when he wears the Griffon’s Tail armor
- he doesn’t believe in the fade despite actually living there
-He’s very smart, way more that he gets credit for
-He wants to write a book about hunting monsters because he’s a spiteful bitch and wants to prove something to dead people (Antoine and Evka want to read it)
-Takes Rook on walks like they’re his dog (thanks king)
-His voice …in general
-How shy he gets when Eldrin talks about him as a kid
-Hearing him talk about his background as a Dalish elf with Bellara, he says he will never not be Dalish and I love that for him
-His relationship with the other companions, shoutout to Bellara and Lucanis but only because I’ve taking him with them the most
-His friendship with Taash is top tear, get you some buddies that beat the shit out of each other for fun
-The way he’s very protective of the elves and always vouches for the option that would bring less trouble to them
-He knows a little dwarven!!!
-How his search for a cause got him to be incredibly caring and loyal
Re-designing Phoenix’s abilities for fun in Marvel Rivals, since I saw some people were a bit disappointed that they focused on her fire abilities rather than her psychic powers. Not much has to change
Her primary could be a telekinetic bolt (pink of course) and the third one either comes from the Phoenix force behind her, making it explode, or just detonating like it does already, but instead of a pink bolt, it’s a firey one.
Her secondary could be the same in pink with the last burst detonating with fire
Her blink would stay the same
Her free-flight would just be her floating away, without the wings (unless you use the ultimate)
And the ultimate is where I’d change things. So she’d soar into the air before crashing back down like she already does. Then the blast radius would apply the sparks and that’s where it gets ugly. Everything becomes fire based, and each shot/burst would cause those awesome detonations from her actual gameplay. No need to hit three times, it’s just full on detonation time. And that’s also when you get the awesome Phoenix wings when you use her free flight ability
And of course, I would also add a slow fall, because why not.
Sometimes you’re just minding your own business, baking and listening to music, and then your brain decides to make a funny. So anyways, at the end of “Love in Paradise” from “Epic the Musical”, the wires crossed and my brain super imposed “He needs my help” with “He needs some milk” and now I have to go lie down.
